An "Open Factory" event was held at Takaishi Industry's Headquarter factory.

An "open factory" is a so-called "factory tour" opened to the general public. This is an attempt to let public visitors learn about what factories of the region are doing, and deepen their understanding. Ibaraki City planned this project, and this open factory was made possible.

Four families,12 people participated on the event. The participants were divided into two groups, one for the ‘manufacturing experience’ group and the other for the ‘factory tour’.

The products we make are very small rubber parts, but doing very important function. In the ‘factory tour’, participants were very interested in the manufacturing process and highly managed quality.

In addition, at the ’manufacturing experience’ area, the children actually cut, measured, and prepared rubber raw materials, and enjoyed making products.

This time, everyone seemed to have enjoyed it to their heart's content. the children's reactions were better than I expected.
