So far, Japan has set a goal of reducing 26% compared to 2013, but this time it is a big addition.

He has already announced last October that Japan will achieve zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, so 2030 will be an intermediate target.

Japan is the fifth largest country in terms of energy consumption in the world, accounting for about 3% of the world.

However, as of FY2018, the ratio of renewable energy in Japan's power source composition is still about 16%, which is lower ratio compared to other countries such as Germany and the United Kingdom.

It is necessary to switch to renewable energy such as solar power, wind power, and hydrogen in the next 9 years until 2030. It will be a very big challenge whether Japan's energy policy really can make such a bold approach.
